Where Is The Hope?

Are they trying to destroy Hope? Or are they setting up the next big storyline for her and if so, then I feel a brain tumor coming on.

First, she fell for Thomas, the last man on earth who deserved a space in her life, and then she has spent the last six months slowly sliding off the side of an emotional cliff. I'll admit, I loved Hope's scenes with Thomas and that's partly what soaps are all about right, that weird love affair that catches fire.

I'm glad that she turned his proposals down, and only in soapland would that break up a relationship, especially in this day and age. She asked for time and instead of granting it, Thomas got out of town. We watched Hope struggle in life and in business because broken hearts have a funny way of disrupting everything.

Hope had every reason to expect Thomas to return with a clear head and his emotions in check, maybe ready to continue things. It would have made sense. Instead, he returned from Paris, with Paris as his new fiance and of course Hope lost it.

She was barely hanging on and that started the spiral. Finn was always appealing to her and soon "SteffysHusband" (said in Brooke's exasperated voice) looked like the only good, viable man on earth. Clear-headed Hope would NEVER have kissed him. She would have thought of all the repercussions in advance and never let it happen.

But this is not clear thinking Hope. Even she keeps saying that she doesn't know what is wrong with her- which is likely our clue that something IS wrong with her.

Something big is brewing and it's clear that all the pain is just way too much for Hope to handle. Nervous breakdown? Suicide attempt? Something is about to happen and I think on the other side of it, there will be a real medical crisis to contend with.
